Design a developer portfolio

A portfolio showcases your work in a way that is tailored to people who want to hire you.

Even after you've landed your dream job, you may want to keep a private place to expand on your own thoughts and capabilities independently of the company you work for.

For junior developers, this is great practice for design thinking, marketing, and writing. You can also play with tech you want to learn and get good at.

  1. Write about yourself, your interests, capabilities, skills, and what you're looking for.
  2. Write about your target audience, who they are, and what they want.
  3. Write down your goals, motivations, values, and ideas.
  4. Consider the above, as you look for symbols, colors, and imagery that represents you and appeals to your audience.
